DUNAMIS (pronounced "doo'-nam-is") is greek for miraculous power and variations of this word are found in the greek texts
of the Bible, translated "power, strength, ability, miracles, and more."
Jesus used this when speaking
of the power of the Holy Spirit:
"...ye shall receive power (dunamis), after
that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me..." Acts 1:8 KJV parenthetical word mine
